Background
The bowl is busted - cracked and Buster the Celestial Eye Goldfish only has so long to make his escape or he'll be sleeping with the fishes... It's not going to be easy because, well... how does one escape a fish bowl? There's a rumour that there is a way out, but it's locked behind a series of puzzles. Can you help Buster get out in one piece?

Controls

  • WASD for front, side and backward movement
  • Spacebar and Control for up and downward movement
  • Shift to move faster
  • E to interact with objects and characters
  • F to float in place (defy gravity - what little there is underwater) [toggle]
  • T to go into first-person mode (handy in some situations) [toggle]
  • R to use a special item (you'll know it when you find it) [toggle]
  • Move the mouse to pan the camera slightly

Tips

Buster's friend Dani is on hand to help out and give hints. Note that you can talk to her more than once and she'll say different things.

FYI
I had a lot of issues exporting this for web at the last minute, so I had to settle for a Windows exe. The means you will have to download the game in order to play it. Unfortunately, Windows and sometimes web browsers are pretty cautious with these kind of games and you'll likely get a warning from the browser and/or Windows. There's also no menu anymore due to the aforementioned export issues.

Install instructions

Download the folder, unnzip the folder, then run the exe. You'll likely get a warning from Windows. If you choose "Run anyway" then the game will start. This warning is shown because the game is unsigned (like almost all) Windows Game Jam submissions.

If you want to play but are cautious, you could look into running a Windows VM. That's what I do when running other people's submissions for desktop operating systems.
